An international company involved in the transportation, freight, forwarding & cargo services has an immediate need for the position of Overseas Marketing Manager at its Miami, FL facility. This position is responsible for the company’s international sales & distribution in order to increase our “Foreign Market Share” & determine several methods to strengthen company’s logistics to reach this goal. Specifically required is the demonstrated ability to recommend business strategies for the international marketing of a complex global matrix organization, including the development & implementation of marketing and sales techniques focused to expand our customer portfolio in different geographical areas; to identify emerging markets, where cargo services demand is growing & building a sales forecast, in order to maintain & expand accounts; also research, analyze & prepare reports on services feedback & clientele’s preferences to present to the design department in order to develop/create new demanded services; ability to develop new customer approach techniques & to prepare & organize company’s showrooms in order to set up local appointments with foreign corporate customers interested in our services; organize and/or participate in local & national trade shows related to business operations & arrange sales trips, approaching South America clientele; design alternative service systems, user friendly, in order to get potential & current customers aware of the different service alternatives & characteristics; demonstrated ability to negotiate & offer special business deals (according to management) in order to increase profitability; follow-up all international business opportunities, review status, logistics information & all related documentation; serve as a liaison between international clientele & corporate representatives in order to create a professional & long term relationship between them. Finally required ability to prepare & oversee international & local marketing & sales strategies; collect & analyze data, prepare reports on customers demographics, preferences, needs & buying habits to identify potential markets & factors affecting company services’ demand; gather data on competitors & analyze their prices, sales & method of marketing & distribution; measure the effectiveness of marketing, advertising & communications programs & strategies as useful tools for development marketing campaign in order to increase profitability; propose budgets for international advertising & promotions; research good investments opportunities, potential joint ventures agreements, promotion, marketing & development of business. Minimum education required is a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, or equivalent & minimum two (2) years of relevant, progressive, post-graduated experience in the areas of research potential new business, international negotiation, marketing & promotion; also a strong understanding and appreciation of the business operations & regulations in South America. This position calls for incidental travel, attending meetings, showrooms, conferences & other relevant events, providing reports to management.
